This policy explains what personal information Al-Quraysh Super Market collects when you use alqurayshsupermarket.com or our Android app, why we need it, and what your rights are. We only ask for what we need to get your shopping to you.
Who we are

What we collect
- Order details: your name, delivery address, phone number, email address, the items you order and any notes you add, such as how you want your meat cut.
- Account details: if you create an account, your login email, password (stored encrypted) and saved addresses.
- Messages: anything you send us through the contact form, by phone or on WhatsApp.
- Technical details: your IP address, device and browser type and the pages you visit, collected by our website, analytics and security tools.
We do not take card payments online. Orders are paid by cash on delivery or at the counter, so we never see or store your card details.
How we use it
- To take, pack and deliver your order, and to contact you about it.
- To run your account and show your order history.
- To answer your questions.
- To keep the website secure and understand which pages people use, so we can improve it.
- To meet our legal duties, such as keeping sales records.
We use your details to fulfil your order (contract), to keep records we are required to keep (legal obligation) and to run and protect our shop online (legitimate interests). We do not sell your information and we do not send marketing messages unless you ask us to.
Our Android app
The app shows our website inside the app, so the same details are collected as on the website. To work without signal, the app saves copies of some pages, such as the home page, products, about, contact and this policy, on your phone. If you turn on order updates, the app checks the status of your own orders while you are signed in and shows a notification on your phone when the status changes. This information stays on your device. The app does not use advertising or tracking tools and does not access your contacts, photos or location.
Cookies
We use cookies that are needed for the shop to work, such as keeping items in your basket and keeping you signed in. We also use analytics cookies from Google to count visits and see which pages are useful. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but the basket and account may not work without them.
Who we share it with
We only share what is needed with the companies that help us run the shop: our website host, our email delivery service, Google (analytics) and our security tools. If we use a driver or courier, they receive your name, address and phone number for that delivery. We may share information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for six years for tax and accounting reasons. Account details are kept until you ask us to close your account. Messages are kept for as long as needed to deal with your question.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. You can delete your account details by contacting us. To use any of these rights, call 01733 687374, message us on WhatsApp on 07960 962626 or visit us in store. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
